A range of new devices, not just a new iPhone, is expected to be on display at Apple’s upcoming launch event. We are looking for three new Apple Watch models, as well as a refreshed pair of AirPods Pro earbuds.
Similar to what it did in June, Apple is holding a small in-person event at its Apple Park campus and will stream the show online. There will be an Apple hardware event on September 7th, 2022.
The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max get some major upgrades
The new iPhones will be revealed in September, but the standard model likely won’t be the star of the show. The new and exciting features of the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max are expected to be carried by the device.
There are three big features expected in the 14 Pro and Pro Max: an always-on display, a bigger rear camera, and a screen that gets rid of the notch. The phone should have an upgraded chip. It is an impressive list of features that Apple might use to justify a rumored price hike.
The standard version of the phone won’t have many major changes. The larger display option is expected to be the biggest update to the non-Pro model. According to previous rumors, the Pro and Pro Max may have better selfies camera that uses the same technology as the iPhone 14. The A15 processor used in the 13 series will likely be used in the base iPhone 14.
I am sorry, but a new Mini won’t make an appearance this year.
Only two Pro models would upgrade to the A16 processor, while the 14 & 14 Max will remain the A15. All four new models will likely come with 6GB RAM, with the difference being LPDDR 5 (14 Pro & 14 Pro Max) vs. LPDDR 4X (14 & 14 Max). https://t.co/tHcszIz6gX

New Apple Watch models: Series 8, SE, and “Pro”
Apple is about to launch three new Apple Watch models: the Watch Series 8; a refreshed SE; and a new rugged model for athletes who partake in extreme sports.
Series 8 starts now. According to Mark Gurman, the next-gen watch won’t have a noticeable performance upgrade over the S7 and S6 chips, but it will have a new S8 chip. While Apple isn’t expected to include a way to monitor your blood pressure just yet, it may come with a temperature sensor that will detect if you have a fever.
The budget Watch Series 3 is expected to be replaced by the new Apple Watch. The 2020 SE model uses the same S5 chip as the S8 chip, so it will likely come with the same chip. It is expected to retain the same display size as the current SE, so it doesn’t look like any huge changes are in the works.
Apple Watch Pro could come with a larger display that is more shatter-resistant. It may have a metal case instead of the rubber one that was seen previously. I don’t think this watch will be cheap, he expects it to cost between $900 and $999.
The next generation of the AirPods Pro
The AirPods Pro has not received an update since its launch. The release of the AirPods Pro 2 is nearly three years later.
First things first, expect them to look different. The new AirPods may have an in-ear wing tip design that drops the stem. They could focus on fitness tracking thanks to the upgraded motion sensors.
It is possible that the AirPods Pro will support higher-quality audio. The first model to use the Apple Lossless Audio Codec is the AirPods Pro 2, even though the high-end AirPods Max doesn’t support it. It will be interesting to see if the Apple Lossless Audio Codec is supported in the AirPods Pro 2.
The charging case for the AirPods may get an upgrade. When you try to locate it through the Find My app, it might come with a small speaker. If the case ever gets separated from your AirPods, it could come in handy.
We may get iOS 16 and watchOS 9 launch dates
We have a good idea of what to expect based on what we have seen from the public alpha phase of the software. According to Gurman, Apple wrapped up development last week and is likely to release a final version of the operating system within a week of the event.
There are a number of new features in the newest version of the software, including the ability to edit and unsend messages. The Live Activities lock screen widget provides updates on real-time events, such as sports scores or food delivery progress, and repositioned notifications that appear at the bottom of your lock screen. The battery percentage is not what you would expect.
Apple could also launch watchOS 9 along with its new devices. The watchOS 9 betas has been out for a couple of months now, and it will bring a number of improvements to the Apple Watch. New running metrics, medication reminders, sleep stage tracking, and enhanced watchface customization are included in this.
Is that all?
We shouldn’t have to wait too long for another round of new Apple products, as it looks like this is it for this particular Apple event. In September, Apple is expected to hold an event to show off the new iPad and Macs, as well as a separate event in October to show off the new phones.
We can expect a new iPad Pro with the M2 chip and an entry-level iPad with the A14 chip. It is rumored that Apple will release three new Macs, including a Mac Mini, Mac Pro, and MacBook Pro, all with the M2 chip.
It would be a long shot for Apple to show off its mixed reality headset this year since we are still waiting for it. It appears that Apple is making progress. The device was supposed to be tested by the board of directors earlier this year, but it won’t be launched until January.
Apple is holding an event on September 7th, according to the August 24th update.
